How to Apply for a Marriage License
You may call directly to pre arrange you appointment with a marriage license agent.
You may get your licence from another Island and bring to Maui for your Wedding.
Bride and groom should be prepared to provide proof of age and present any required written consents.
Couple should be able to provide the licence agent with the Minister or officants name.
Any person being married lawfully in the State of Hawaii must prepare an official application. This application must be filed in person with the authorized marriage license agent. Applications are provided by the marriage license agent or may be downloaded ahead of time from this site. http://www.hawaii.gov/health/vital-records/pdf/marriagelicense.pdf
The marriage license costs $65.00, payable in cash at the time the application is made. This licence is then given to your Minister at the wedding site, and you will be guided by your officant how to sign after your married.
The marriage license expires 30 days from and including the date of issuance.
Blood tests are not required.
There are no State residence or U.S. citizenship requirements. Please provide passports if from outside the U.S.
The marriage certificate (license) is prepared and filed by your licensed Minister with the Department of Health.
Marriage performers must be duly licensed by and in the State of Hawaii to perform the marriage ceremony. Rev. Alalani Hill and all of the Ministers and officiants used by Hawaiian Ceremonies are licensed by the State of Hawaii.
